THE BREAKFAST THAT CHANGED MY LIFE.

When I first came "down south" I did'nt think it was a very friendly place. I was living in an ice-cream van on Ealing common. ( why not?)I had managed to find work in Cranford with Heathrow Cars,I was using a transit van at the time and had an alsation puppy. We were BOTH living in the van outside in the car park. not ideal but??? One evening it got very cold so I went inside to the office and made a cuppa, and asked the the controller if I could have a kip on the couch in the driver's room, he said yes.Sometime later I was awakened by someone kicking the couch," what's your game " I was asked, " do you work for me ". I could see the controller behind him nodding his head like a loony, so I said yes and explained why I was there. He told me his name was Wally and asked when the last time I had slept in a bed? Quiet a while ago I told him. I think he could tell that by the smell." come with me" he said. I got in my van and followed him to his home and followed him in. We went into his front room, he said " this is Sandy and that's Mandy sit there and pointed to a chair.I got some strange look's from the two of them, but they didn't look all that shocked. Wally came back into the room and told to get upstairs and have a bath. I was feeling a little bewildered but I wasn't going to turn him down. After the bath I went downstairs only to find that he had cooked me an enormouse breakfast at 1130pm." eat that he said " When I had he told me which bedroom I could sleep in and that was it. The next morning I was up & out before 0600 and back to the office. I found out later that Wally was famous for his late night visits and dawn swoops. Wally never mentioned that night again, but that night he made a friend for life, and I worked his familly for over 20yrs. "and hopefully earned that breakfast. Next time I'll tell you about the waste paper bin???? geoff castle.
